Tumakuru: Emphasizing the critical need for comprehensive training and the immediate resolution of persistent server issues, State Backward Classes Leader and Samruddi Education Trust President B.S. Venkatesh has called upon the relevant government officials to take decisive action regarding the ongoing caste census.
Speaking at a press conference, Venkatesh underscored that while the caste census was initiated across the state with the significant objective of social and educational empowerment for all communities, the frequent and disruptive server problems have severely hampered the efforts of field workers in their crucial task of uploading collected information.
Despite their dedicated efforts in conducting the survey amidst these technological challenges, it is concerning that the government has established a limited tenure for these workers and is proceeding with their release. Venkatesh strongly urged the government to reconsider this decision, advocating for an extension of their service period and the provision of appropriate honorariums to acknowledge their commitment.
Furthermore, Venkatesh highlighted the significant discrepancies found within the already uploaded data, indicating a clear necessity for resurveys in numerous areas. In light of this, he stressed the importance of providing the same experienced field workers with the opportunity to undertake the essential re-verification work. He urged the respective government authorities to prioritize these critical needs to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the caste census.
